QuoteThank you Kiwi! Quick question: I couldn't find the Diehard GameFan - have you uploaded these too? Or did I miss it? Gamers Republic consists of apparently 36 issues - would you upload the remain ones as well? Thank you so much for efforts - really appreciate it!

They will all be added here!!

Thank you so much Kiwi! Really appreciate it. Extra donation $ on the way ...

Just a quick suggestion: I noticed that the first page (.jpg) in each of these .cbz files has a different naming pattern:

Gamefan-006_Page_002.jpg
Gamefan-006_Page_003.jpg
...
Gamefan-006_Page_113.jpg
Gamefan-006_Page_114.jpg
Gamefan-006.jpg

As such, the coverpage is always displayed on the very last page when I open these mags with my CBZ Reader (I am using YACReader). Is there an easy workaround for that except renaming the coverpage file in each .cbz?

Okay.

That was because I was renaming the front page after extracting the pages from the pdf file the magazines originally came in so that I could use it as the cover image on the website without all the "-page**" info. I didn't realize it was an issue because, well, my .cbz reader CDisplayEx always showed the cover correctly so I had no idea it was a problem. This only occurs on 3rd party mags I convert which is almost nil because we don't generally use 3rd party mags and magazines which are converted from PDF.

No-one else here has ever mentioned it as being a problem either however I will refrain from renaming the cover pages from here on out. Problem solved ....

PC Games vol.3 no.6 is available HERE.  This is the first issue with PC Games as the title.  Prior to this issue, it was called PC Entertainment, and prior to that, it was called Electronic Entertainment.

Wow, I was most of the way through processing this one, anyways....I'm very fond of GB Planet. Hopefully there will be more uploads. I have a copy of the one with Pikachu and Ash on the front (Issue 5?) and just noticed that it's not on the site. I can add it to my list if it's not already in the pipeline from someone else..?

Thanks for this to all involved! I've been looking for this for a long time, so very much appreciated!

This was the 5th and final issue of Planet Gameboy - The issue number is on the GB held by the planet in the mag's title.

I have a scan of Issue 4 from somewhere (likely IA before it was taken down) if we want an easy completion on this one?

I really appreciate these so thanks.  :) How far do you think you'll go with this magazine in terms of scanning issues?

I already mailed all of the issues I bought to Jason so he could scan them on his A3 scanner.  I can't remember offhand what I sent, but everything I sent will get done eventually.  They take 5 times as long to edit as a normal mag, so I have to edit different things in-between or I'll lose my mind (unless the paper quality improves on later issues, I guess.)

That one would be #4, the only one missing from here.

Are you referring to this one? Unless I'm misunderstanding how Archive.org works, compression on that scan is pretty bad. Assuming no one else has this issue in the pipeline, I'll scan a better quality copy.

Congratulations!  You found a truly awful piece of %#$^ uploaded by Jason Scott himself!  Your prize is in the mail!

Seriously, who knows where he scraped that super-low-res-and-compressed copy from, but before someone else destroyed it, it was sourced from the same copy at Retromags.  You can see it where someone has uploaded it to Archive  here (hey, Jason Scott ain't the only one who makes it their job to copy files), but you won't catch Kiwi uploading their stuff without permission.  And anyway, it's still kind of a crap scan, since it wasn't debound.  All kinds of curvature near the spine distorting everything.

Yes, that's it. They marked it incorrectly there as #3, it is actually #4.
